Ravi Kumar Chaurasiya (b. 1994) creates imaginative spaces and uses his recurring subject of dogs and airplanes. He mainly works with paper, canvas and sculpture and does not stick to a single scale. Experimenting with light and colour, he uses a realistic and semi-figurative style in his practice. When viewed closely, architecture in urban spaces, influences from miniatures and landscapes show a whole array of details and hidden references.
He completed his Master of Fine Arts in Painting from the Department of Fine Arts, Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi.
